elevator
this was the first time i go t trapped inside a lift.
the door just could not open. there is nothing much i could do. so i travel up and down the lift for 30 minutes.
the workman arrived at the lift lobby and tried to talk to me.
"Can you hear me?"
"Of course, I can..." then the lift went upward.
The walkie talkie phone of the lift was on.
"Can you hear me?"
"Sure."
"Are u a student or a staff?"
"A staff" (But what's the point of knowing the identity?)
"How many ppl are there?"
"Just one."
"......"
"Is there anyway to stop the lift from going up and down?" I asked.
"No."
"So,..." I said.
"就當係遊lift河啦."
"ok, then."
"Stay calm."
I was trying to stay calm after the conversation.
Fortunately, the lift opened on 4/F. I tried to warn the students. But it seemed they could not believe this.
Maybe they are young and have no fear at all.
Better ran home immediately. The flu was getting worst after the trap.

nothing much to ask for
there is nothing much to ask for.
family and friends. sharing stories and memories.
Just eat, drink and laugh.
These are the best things that I have.

ppl observation: my dream boat
it is a fun experience to watch an "old" movie with my parents.
we have been a family who like watching TV, movies.
"My dream boat", a film in 1969, is a very good tester.
The film is based on a novel by an all time popular Taiwan writer "Chiung-yao".
It has the basic element of a love story. A likes B but B does not like A, C likes A but A does not like C. D likes C but C does not like D.
I don't understand why this movie was a great hit.
But my parents' reaction could tell quite a lot.
The movie has scenes of song and dance. My mom likes it. She even sings along.
My father just totally involves in the plot.
So he likes it.
The episodes of singing and dancing occur almost everywhere. in parties, around camp fire, even road construction. it is most amazing to have a scene workmen singing together.
The plot of romance is just a mismatch between ppl treating each other as bros or sis. So there are already enough space for misunderstanding.
The most horrible thing is that the story is built on guilt and blame.
A person becomes ill-spirited and becomes a gambler because he is dumped. (This sounds very terrible. I should have ended up a gambler for thousand times.)
A lady has her due because she seizes the chance to tell the man that she loves him when he becomes terribly depressed...
I think it is a success at its time because it has all the elements of comedy, tragedy, romance, even musical, and even colour. All they use real babies in acting. So what will u ask for when you are in the 60s? U'll get all of them in just one movie.
I do think my parents are great. They still like the movie after so many years. Most interestingly, they forget what's the movie about. I am thankful that they have a scepticism of "unrealistic romance". When one of the actresses tells a guy that she likes him. Unfortunately she is rejected. Then, the man tells her that he has adored her for a long time....The lady is exhilrated by what he has said. Here comes the anti-climax... The man tells her that he loves her as a sister.
My parents scolds him in unison... "嘥氣啦你!"
I am impressed.
But there is something even more important. I get to know the origin of my name. It's a relief that the actress is not a villain.

the same
the same day, no difference.
feel different this year. there is nothing special.
i have no idea about what i should feel or think.
everyday is the same.
just seize the day.
ever and same forever.
